Coconut Wraps – Everything You Need to Know

What is the Paleo diet?

The Paleo diet is a nutrition plan where food that is eaten every day is based on the food which is the same with what people were eating during the Paleolithic period, which was approximately 10,000 to more than 2 million years ago.

The objective of some individuals who are on this kind of diet is to practice the kind of eating that early humans did. The thing that led some people to practice the Paleo diet is the discordance hypothesis. According to the said supposition, the human body has been unsuited or incompatible to its present diet which became apparent because of certain practices in farming. For some people, this is what they believe to be the primary reason behind the prevalence of obesity, certain heart diseases, diabetes, and other health problems related to people’s everyday selection of food.

The Paleo diet, on the other hand, is a beneficial meal plan that helps people lose excess weight. In addition to that, it also is an effective means in helping individuals maintain a healthy weight.

People who are practicing the Paleo diet are still able to eat fish, lean meat, fruits & vegetables, nuts, and seeds. These are types of food that could be obtained by gathering and hunting. The Paleo diet, however, does not encourage eating food which began to be common when farming became apparent roughly around 10,000 years back. The foods that the Paleo diet restricts are grains (barley, oats, and wheat), legumes (peas, peanuts, lentils, and beans), dairy products, refined sugar, potatoes, salt, and highly processed foods. Aside from that, the Paleo diet also gives special importance to physical activity and drinking an adequate amount of water every day.

What are Coconut Wraps?

When you practice the Paleo diet, there are certain foods that you are not allowed to eat.  A good example would be tortilla; to be more specific, wheat tortillas. As mentioned, wheat is a grain and amongst the types of food that the Paleo diet restricts.

The good news is that there is such a thing as paleo coconut  wraps, which are 100% acceptable to the Paleo diet. These are made from coconuts and are entirely gluten-free. In addition to that, paleo coconut wraps are free from starch, grains, soy, yeast, salt, and GMO. These wraps are also low in carbs, vegan, and raw. The only ingredients of coconut paleo wraps are unrefined virgin coconut oil, coconut water, and coconut meat. Our paleo coconut wraps are an excellent alternative to the regular tortilla for individuals practicing the Paleo diet. In addition, it is also very very healthy.
