NUCO Donates Half of Product Profits to Philippine Super-typhoon Haiyan Relief
Healthsource International, Inc.,(HSI) a Southern California based company that manufactures the NUCO brand of premium liquid coconut oil is donating half of its product proceeds, through the end of the year, to help with super-typhoon Haiyan relief. HSI, through its NUCO brand of premium coconut products is committed to Philippine rebuilding efforts for those severely impacted by the powerful tropical typhoon that devastated central Philippine region in November. NUCO revenue raised during the last quarter of 2013 will be designated for non-profit organizations working on relief and rebuilding efforts.
“Thousands have died and this typhoon has devastated my country. A storm like this makes an already dire situation more desperate,” said Ricky Santos, chairman and chief executive officer of HSI. “Those in the typhoon’s path already live on the brink of poverty.” Santos continues by saying that this storm was a call to action to any and all of us that can help. A donation to American Red Cross is a quick way of getting funds to the regions that were hardest hit.
