Ricky Santos

Background: Has a passion for serving and transforming the lives of Filipino farmers and their communities by producing and marketing high value coconut products with higher margins to provide these farmers with more potential profit.

Current Role: His extensive business skills have helped NUCO become a market leader in the sale and marketing of natural and organic coconut products. With NUCO sold in several national retailers, Ricky desires to grow its market share of coconut products in North America to ensure a larger revenue base for the disenfranchised coconut farmers. Using his strong management, sales and marketing background, he has helped open up new markets and has developed business relationships with a focus on organic coconut products. In 2013, he spearheaded the launch of the NUCO brand of unique and ground breaking coconut products.

Education: He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration majoring in Management from Hawaii Pacific University.  Before starting his own company, he was a sales executive at IBM for almost 10 years covering the Southern California and Hawaii region.

Monchet Santos

Background: Monchet has developed strategic relationships with political and business leaders in the Philippines. His working knowledge of the plight of Filipino farmers has helped him establish policies and procedures that help protect them and provide for fair and equitable compensation.  Prior to obtaining his Master of Laws, he was a Senior Associate at Romulo Law Office, recognized by the Legal 500 and International Financial Review as one of the top tier firms in the Philippines.  Licensed to practice both in the Republic of the Philippines and the State of New York, he is familiar with corporate matters and financial transactions. His extensive experience has included Global 500 and Fortune 100 companies in various transactions.

Current Role: His working knowledge of the coconut industry allows him to manage the company’s operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies. His legal background provides wide-ranging legal support to the business operations, including corporate, employment, commercial contracts, intellectual property, legal compliance, and other regulatory and corporate matters affecting the businesses of both Healthsource International, Inc. and PSource International, Inc.

Education: Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law and his Master of Laws (LL. M.) from the UCLA School of Law.

Ron Santos

Background: Prior to co-founding NUCO, he was an Investment Advisor and Registered Representative for MetLife Securities, Inc. for over 15 years. Through his role, he personally managed over $140,000,000 USD in assets and was the lead and senior presenter for MetLife’s Retirewise/Plan Smart division wherein he was responsible for conducting financial education seminars for over 50 corporate entities across Southern California. He also led the firm’s not for profit market through the management of over $100 million in assets for individual public school employees. He has been a member of the (MDRT) Million Dollar Roundtable, is Securities licensed (Series 6, 7, 63, and 65) and holds both the (ChFC), Chartered Financial Consultant and (CASL), Certified Advisor for Senior Living designations.

Current Role: Primary responsible for major financial activities of the firm from sourcing and management of capital, financial planning, cash flow management, financial statement reporting and analysis, risk management, and capital budgeting.

Education: Graduated cum laude with a degree in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University; Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) with an emphasis in Finance from California State Polytechnic University.

Teresa Santos

Background: Growing up in a family from the province of Quezon where the coconut industry is the primary livelihood, she was an early pioneer in the sale and marketing of coconut products to international markets. She was also committed to resolve the inequity coconut farmers were paid for their raw coconut products by paying them well above market average.

Current job: She was the President of the Philippine Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) Association in its inception in 2005 and has served several terms as President.  In 2010, she was asked to be part of an action group composed of leaders in the coconut industry spearheaded by the Philippine Department of Science and Technology to map out the future direction of the coconut industry in the Philippines.  Her extensive knowledge and experience has helped her develop business relationships that have helped ProSource International expand its reach and offerings to meet the current coconut market demand both locally and abroad. She is also personally involved in providing educational assistance of the children of coconut farmers through scholarships and transportation to and from school.

Education: She received her undergraduate degree from Philippine Women’s University and graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago with a Masters of Science in Nutrition.
